Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Acceptance
These terms are an agreement between you and Ahmet Eren Tosun (sole proprietorship), Am Tierpark 25, 10315 Berlin, Germany, trading as AstroPi, covering the AstroPi app and astropi.app. Use of the app constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not accept them, please discontinue use.
Full company details: Impressum.
Entertainment only
AstroPi provides astrology, tarot, coffee-cup and palm content for reflection and entertainment. It does not constitute advice of any kind, whether medical, psychological, legal, financial or otherwise professional, and nothing it states is a prediction of future events.
Readings are generated by an AI model and may be wrong, inconsistent or simply invented. Do not make decisions about your health, money, relationships or safety on the strength of a reading. If you are struggling, speak to a qualified professional; in an emergency, contact your local emergency services.
Who can use it
AstroPi is rated for users aged 17 and over and is not directed at children.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you must be at least 16, or the lower age your country sets for consenting to online services (never below 13), and below that age you may use AstroPi only with the consent of the holder of parental responsibility.
- Everywhere else you must be at least 13.
- To buy a subscription or star pack you must be 18 or over, or have the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf. Purchases are made through your Apple ID; use Apple’s Screen Time restrictions to prevent purchases on a child’s device.
Your account
An anonymous account is created when you first open the app; you may link it to Sign in with Apple. Keep your device and Apple ID secure. Anyone with access to them can reach your readings. You may delete your account at any time from Profile › Delete Account.
Subscriptions: AstroPi+
AstroPi+ is an auto-renewing subscription sold in a single subscription group, in three lengths. Every plan unlocks the same thing:
- Bonus star credits every period: 15 stars per week on the weekly plan, 70 stars per month on the monthly plan, and 100 stars per month on the yearly plan.
- Detailed Pi readings: the long-form interpretations and the Pi chat.
- All chart analyses: every Western, Vedic and Chinese chart section, the cosmic calendar and the placement readings, with nothing locked.
- No adverts: rewarded adverts are never shown to a Pro subscriber.
Length and price. Prices below are the United States App Store prices. Apple sets an equivalent price in your local currency and applies local tax; the exact amount you will be charged is always shown on the paywall in your own currency before you confirm.
| Plan | Length | Price (US) | Price per unit |
|---|---|---|---|
| AstroPi+ Weekly | 1 week | US$1.99 | US$1.99 per week |
| AstroPi+ Monthly | 1 month | US$4.99 | about US$1.15 per week |
| AstroPi+ Yearly | 1 year | US$29.99 | about US$2.50 per month (US$0.57 per week) |
The yearly plan is billed once, for the whole year, and grants its 100 stars every month across that year.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn auto-renewal off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- If we change the price, Apple will tell you in advance. Where your consent is required, your subscription will not renew at the new price unless you agree to it; otherwise it simply stops at the end of the period you have paid for.
- We do not currently offer a free trial or introductory price. If we ever do, its length and price will be shown on the paywall before you confirm, the plan will convert to the full price shown above when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before, and any unused part of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during it.
- Manage or cancel from iOS Settings › your Apple ID › Subscriptions, or from Profile › Manage Subscription in the app.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Pro until the period you have already paid for runs out.
These Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy apply to the subscription.
Star credits
Stars are the credits a reading costs. A new account starts with 12, once per device. Deleting an account and starting again does not hand out a second set. You also receive them with a subscription, or you can buy them outright as a one-off purchase in packs of 10, 20, 50 or 100 stars. Each pack’s price is shown in the app, in your currency, before you confirm.
What a reading costs today: a tarot reading 1 star, a coffee-cup reading 1 star, a palm reading 2 stars, and one Pi chat reply 1 star. If we change a price we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
- Stars are a licence to use a feature, not money. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or withdrawn, and you cannot give, sell or trade them to another person.
- They do follow your App Store purchase. If you restore your purchases on a different account or device, any remaining stars move with your subscription to the account that restored them, and leave the one they came from. A balance never exists in two places at once. This is automatic; neither account chooses it. If several people share one Apple Account, restoring on one of them moves the stars away from the other.
- They are spent when you request a reading. If a reading fails, its stars are returned automatically.
- Purchased stars do not expire and stay on your account for as long as it exists. If you cancel a subscription, stars already granted stay; future grants stop.
- Deleting your account also deletes any stars left on it. The app tells you this before you confirm, so you can spend the balance first. If you would rather delete the account and be refunded for unused stars you paid for, please contact us before deleting the account and we will make the necessary arrangements. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Unlocking with an advert
Some features can be unlocked once per session by watching a rewarded advert instead of spending stars. Watching a rewarded advert is optional in every case.
Your right to withdraw (EU, EEA and UK consumers)
As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract for digital content or services, without giving a reason.
AstroPi is supplied immediately: Pro unlocks and star credits are available the moment your purchase is confirmed. By confirming a purchase you expressly request that we begin supplying at once and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once the content has been fully supplied, that is, once Pro is active or the stars have been added to your balance (Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, § 356(5) BGB, and reg. 37 of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). The paywall states this and links to these terms before you confirm.
If you have not used any of what you bought, write to destek@astropi.app within 14 days and we will help you obtain a refund through Apple. This paragraph does not limit any statutory right you have if what we supplied was faulty or not as described.
Refunds
Purchases are made through Apple, so a refund is Apple’s decision, not ours. Request one from Apple’s Report a Problem page. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly, but if a refund request is refused and you consider the refusal unjustified, please notify us and we will provide what assistance we can.
When you ask Apple for a refund, Apple may ask us how much of the purchase you actually consumed, for example whether the reading was delivered and how many stars were spent. We answer that question so Apple can decide fairly. We do this to perform and settle our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and because both Apple and we have a legitimate interest in accurate refund decisions (Art. 6(1)(f)); it is not based on your consent, and only the specific purchase under dispute is described. If you would prefer us not to answer for a particular request, email destek@astropi.app and we will decline it. Apple will then decide without our input.
Using it properly
Do not upload photographs of other people without their agreement, or anything unlawful, hateful or sexual. Do not place excessive load on our servers, resell access, or use automated tools to extract content. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law, including your non-waivable rights under Arts. 5(3) and 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC and §§ 69d–69e UrhG. We may suspend accounts that breach this section.
Content and ownership
The app, its design, artwork and written content belong to AstroPi. Your photographs and birth details remain yours; you give us only the permission we need to process them to produce your reading, as set out in the Privacy Policy. The reading text produced for you is yours to keep and share.
Availability
We may change, suspend or withdraw features, including a reading type, at any time. We aim for the service to be available but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, under the German Product Liability Act, and under any guarantee we give.
For ordinary negligence we are liable only where we breach an obligation that is essential to performing this agreement and that you may reasonably rely on us to meet, and then only for foreseeable loss typical of this kind of contract. In that case our total liability is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event and (b) EUR 50. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data you could reasonably have backed up. All other liability for ordinary negligence is excluded.
Because AstroPi is entertainment and not advice, we are not liable for decisions you take on the strength of a reading. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your statutory consumer rights.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using AstroPi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
Apple’s role: terms required by the App Store
AstroPi is distributed through Apple’s App Store. The following terms apply between you and us, and Apple requires that we state them:
- This agreement is between you and us alone, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for AstroPi and its content.
- Licence. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use AstroPi on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that it may be accessed by other accounts of yours via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for AstroPi. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services.
- Warranty. If AstroPi fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to AstroPi. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our sole responsibility. This does not affect your statutory rights against us as a consumer.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to AstroPi or your use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that AstroPi or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Contact. Questions, complaints or claims about AstroPi should be sent to Ahmet Eren Tosun, Am Tierpark 25, 10315 Berlin, Germany, destek@astropi.app.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside, and it does not affect where you may bring proceedings. In particular, a consumer resident in the EU or the UK may bring proceedings in the courts of their own country of residence, and may only be sued there (Arts. 17–19 of Regulation (EU) 1215/2012 and the equivalent retained UK rules).
For users who are not consumers, that is merchants, legal persons under public law and special funds under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add a feature, change a price, or a law changes. The date at the top shows the last change.
We will tell you about material changes in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to a change, you may cancel your subscription and stop using AstroPi before it takes effect, at no penalty; if the change would disadvantage you materially, you may cancel with immediate effect and we will refund the unused part of a period you have already paid for. Changes that only correct wording, or that we are legally required to make, may take effect at once. Continuing to use AstroPi after a change has taken effect, having been told about it, means you accept it.
